China sets up B20 China Business Council

Xinhua, May 5, 2017 Adjust font size:

The B20 China Business Council was established Friday in Beijing to help Chinese enterprises participate in global economic governance.

The members of the council are mainly Chinese enterprises that participated in the G20 summit in Hangzhou last year, according to the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).

The council aims to bring Chinese business leaders to global discussions on economic policy and protect the interests of the Chinese business community, according to the CCPIT.

The council will promote multilateral trade and build a healthy environment for Chinese enterprises, said CCPIT Chairman Jiang Zengwei.

B20 provides policy recommendations for the annual meeting of G20 leaders.

Last year's B20 was hosted by CCPIT as China was the president of G20 in 2016. Endi
