French shares gain 1.35 pct

French shares gained on Thursday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 1.35 percent, or 71.42 points, to close at 5,72.42 points.

Of the 40 selected large companies, four lost in the day.

Technipfmc tumbled 0.96 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Carrefour was down 0.35 percent. Lafargeholcim lost 0.02 percent.

Veolia Environnemental rose 6.13 percent, the top gainer of the day. Engie was up 4.02 percent. Accor was up 3.64 percent. Endit
