Kyrgyz woman recruited to Syria brought back home

A Kyrgyz woman has been brought back home from Syria by Kyrgyz security officers, the State Committee for Kyrgyz National Security said on Thursday.

According to the committee's press service, the Kyrgyz security officers recently brought back a young Kyrgyz woman with her child from Syria and sent them home.

The woman was born in 1989 and used to live in southern Batken region of Kyrgyzstan. She was recruited by an international terrorist organization to join the civil war in Syria, the report said.

The State Committee for Kyrgyz National Security will continue to work in the framework of counter-terrorism and to prevent Kyrgyz citizens from participating in terrorist activities, the organization said. Endi
