Police vehicle crash kills 2 children in SE Turkey

Two children were killed when a police vehicle crashed into a house in southeastern province of Sirnak in Turkey on late Wednesday.

The incident occurred in Silopi district at late night Wednesday when the armored police vehicle crashed into the house, local media reported on Thursday.

The two brothers, seven and six, who were falling asleep, were killed by the collapse of walls and columns.

The reason is unclear by now. Residents of the neighborhood said the driver of the police vehicle was drunk.

No official statement has been released about the accident. An investigation was launched. Endit
