World famous motorbike brands show in Vietnam

Over 100 motorbike models of 10 brands such as Honda, Suzuki, Harley-Davidson, Kawasaki, Benelli and Peugeot, are being displayed at the ongoing Vietnam Motorcycle Show 2017, which kicked off here on Thursday.

Themed "Free Your Wheel," the four-day event also includes motorcycle performances, test rides, mini games, fashion shows, and introduction of accessories as well as insurance and banking services. It is expected to lure 100,000 visitors.

With a total population of some 93 million, Vietnam, by the end of February 2017, had 45 million motorbikes, according to statistics from motorbike producers and traders in the country.

Last year, motorbike sales in the country rose 9.5 percent to 3.1 million units, said the Vietnam Auto, Motorcycle and Bicycle Association. Endit
