Togo to host int'l jazz festival

Togo will host the 3rd international "Togoville Jazz" festival in July, with bands from African and European countries, organizers said here on Wednesday.

Themed "Out of the Shadows," the festival will be held from July 1 to 9 in the capital Lome as well as at Togoville and Agbodrafo, two cities located respectively in the northern and southern shores of the Lake Togo.

"Ten jazz groups from Togo, six from France and two from South Africa as well as bands from Benin, Senegal and Burkina Faso have already confirmed their participation at the festival," festival manager Dick Mawuto said.

The annual "Togoville Jazz" festival was initiated in 2015. Endit
