Africa Inline Hockey event set for Namibia

Namibia will host the African Inline Hockey tournament pencilled for May 22 to 25 at the Dome in the coastal town of Swakopmund.
Sponsors of the event, Bank Windhoek on Wednesday said, players from South Africa, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Spain, USA, Canada, Eritrea, India, Brazil and Britain will take part in the event.
Marco Debortoli, co-captain of the Namibian team, said it will be an honour to represent Namibia as it will test his skills against the world's best.
Dave Hammond captain of Team Canada, who has three world championships under his belt, in an interview said, "The Africa Cup Inline will offer Inline Hockey at its best for this part of the world. This will be the first time since 2009 that I will be able to participate in a world-class event, helping me prepare for a world championship."
Meanwhile, Jacquiline Pack, Executive Officer: Marketing and Corporate Communication Services at Bank Windhoek said that besides the eight teams competing in the Men's division for top honours, a youth hockey camp and referee clinic will also take place during the days of the Africa Cup. Endit
