Latvians' support for their country's membership in the European Union (EU) has declined by 3 percentage points over the past year to 45 percent, a new Eurobarometer poll has revealed.

Meanwhile, 10 percent of the surveyed people in Latvia were against their country's membership in the EU. Their percentage has remained unchanged since 2016. Across the EU, 14 percent of respondents said they disapproved of their respective country's membership in the bloc.

According to the survey, which was conducted in March of this year, 57 percent of respondents in the bloc voiced positive attitudes to membership in the EU.
