-- The second national human rights action plan of Ethiopia which endeavors for the better promotion and protection of human rights was launched on Wednesday.

The action plan that runs until 2019 was approved by the House of the Peoples' Representatives in December 2016. --Ethiopia and Rwanda have agreed on new areas of cooperation at a meeting which concluded in Kigali on Tuesday, an official who attended the two-day session said.

-- Ethiopia has completed preparations to open its embassy in Kigali, Rwanda, according to the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ethiopia has been carrying out its diplomatic relation with Rwanda through its embassy in Uganda.

In his weekly briefing for the media, the Spokesperson, Meles Alem said the opening of the embassy will have a crucial role in enhancing the bilateral ties between the two countries. Rwanda has opened its Embassy in Ethiopia since 1978. (Ethiopian News Agency/ENA)
