China encourages public involvement in regulation stipulation

China has published and is soliciting public opinion on a draft regulation on how regulations should be made.

According to the draft published Tuesday by the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council, experts, educational and research institutions and social organizations can be invited to take part in the drafting of regulations, they can also be entrusted to draft regulations.

Drafters should solicit opinions of the general public, related government departments, local governments, deputies to people's congresses, political advisors, non-Communist parties and social organizations. Endi
