Indonesian president to tour Philippines

Indonesian President Joko Widodo was scheduled to visit the Philippines on Friday to attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit to enhance cooperation with neighboring countries, a senior official at the foreign ministry said here on Tuesday.

Besides attending the ASEAN leaders' meeting, Widodo would also meet with his Philippines counterpart Rodrigo Duterte during the tour, the foreign ministry spokesperson Arrmanatha Nasir said.

The 30th ASEAN Summit and related meetings were scheduled from April 26 to April 29 in Manila, the Philippines.

Arrmanatha said MoU signings on bilateral cooperation in connectivity and agriculture sectors with the Philippines are on the agenda of Widodo's Philippines tour. Endit
