Thailand will host World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) Global Summit from Tuesday until Thursday.

Ministry of Tourism and Sports Undersecretary Pongpanu Svetarundra said on Monday that WTTC Global Summit at CentralWorld convention center in the heart of the Thai capital will see leading businesspersons in tourism industry from around the world attending and exchanging views.

The undersecretary said the summit would refresh Thailand's investment climate, especially in infrastructural sector, with respect to its Eastern Economic Corridor projects while the country has declared itself as Southeast Asian hub of tourism.

He assured that Thailand has been strictly taking measures against tourism scams and illegal tour businesses which might adversely affect its tourism sector.
