German benchmark DAX index closes flat

German benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Thursday closed almost flat at 12,027.32 points with a merely gain of 10.87 points or 0.09 percent.

Deutsche Bank gained the most among the blue chips, whose share went up by 1.70 percent, followed by German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and personal-care company Beiersdorf that increased by 1.52 percent and 1.07 percent respectively.

Thyssenkrupp, Vonovia and Linde were the top three losers on Thursday, whose shares dropped 1.03 percent, 0.87 percent and 0.63 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank was the most traded share with a turnover of 220.23 million euros (about 236.63 million U.S. dollars). Endit
