Russia kills two foreign terrorist suspects

Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has killed two foreign terrorist suspects who came from one of Central Asian countries, the FSB said on Wednesday.

The two suspects, born in 1991 and 1987 respectively, actively resisted detention in the Vladimir region, central Russia, the FSB said in a statement.

"These individuals were in contact with recruiters of international terrorist organizations, showed interest in the technology of manufacturing improvised explosive devices and showed readiness to commit terrorist acts on the territory of Russia," the statement said.

In the course of the operation, components were found for the manufacture of an explosive device, and AK-74 assault rifle and a PM submachine gun, as well as diverse ammunition, it said.

The agents of the security forces participating in the operation suffered no injuries, the statement said. Endit
