-- A number of suspects that were identified in an investigation into bomb threats at Gauteng shopping centers have urgently approached the court over a search warrant, police said on Tuesday.

Officers confiscated exhibits including computers following a number of threats targeting shopping centers since August 2016, said spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters. (News24)

-- South African company Aspen, one of the world's largest drug companies, responded on Tuesday to UK reports that claim it secretly planned to destroy life-saving cancer medicines as a threat to force countries in Europe to allow price hikes.

According to an exclusive report in The Times on April 14, staff at Aspen discussed "destroying supplies of life-saving cancer medicines in a battle to impose massive price rises across Europe." (Fin24)

-- Opposition parties are continuing their protests calling for President Jacob Zuma to step down, with a demonstration planned in Polokwane, Limpopo Province, on Tuesday.
