3D technology is developing fast globally and witnesses a potential in creating new business opportunities for European entrepreneurs and start-ups to cooperate with Chinese firms, a Belgian entrepreneur has said.
Christophe Hermanns, CEO of Vigo Universal which is a leading 3D technology company based in Namur, Belgium, told this to Xinhua in a recent interview.
The Belgium-based technology company is dedicated to provide 3D software solutions for 3D hardware like virtual reality helmets, 3D printers and sensors.
Hermanns made his first trip in China in 2016, and took part in several high-tech fairs in Shenzhen and Shanghai, where he met many investors and clients.
He said the experiences in China made him realize that how Chinese market craves for technological innovation, which inspired him to expand business in China in the field of 3D technology.
"When I was in China Hi-Tech Fair, for example, I found out that Chinese market love VR and AR , and Chinese companies are very good at making the hardware, especially in terms of large, fast and competitive hardware." he said.
"But you also need software and content to work with the hardware, and European companies with their long-term experience can provide more know-how and creativity to the Chinese partners." he explained.
In the last few years, 3D technology has started to evolve into a cross-over technology which is valid and widely used in the field of manufacturing, industrial design, entertainment, and information and communication technology such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality(VR).
"From this point, we see there is a huge market for us," said Hermanns, noting that it is vital for European and Chinese technology companies to combine their respective advantages to complete and improve their projects in both markets. Endit
