The death toll of Islamic State (IS) militants killed by a massive bomb in eastern Afghan province of Nangarhar reached 94, the provincial government said on Saturday.

On Thursday evening, the U.S. military dropped a GBU-43 or Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) bomb, the largest non-nuclear bomb, on an IS complex in Achin district of the mountainous province bordering Pakistan. (Afghanistan-U.S.-Bombing)

LASHKAR GAH, Afghanistan -- Eleven civilians were killed in a roadside bomb blast in Afghanistan's southern province of Helmand Friday night, local authorities said on Saturday.

"A minibus carrying civilians touched off an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Mullah Abbas locality, Nawa district late Friday night. The blast killed all 11 people aboard the vehicle that was destroyed by the blast," Omar Zwak, provincial government spokesman, told Xinhua. (Afghanistan-Blast)

COLOMBO -- The death toll from a garbage mountain collapse in Meetotamulla, just outside Sri Lanka's capital Colombo, rose to 16 by Saturday afternoon as rescue teams continued with search operations, Disaster Management Officials said.

Disaster Management Center spokesperson Pradeep Kodippilli said that tri forces along with rescue teams were continuing the clearing of the area and residents were being relocated to safer locations. (Sri Lanka-Garbage Death)

SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir -- At least 32 residential and commercial establishments were gutted Saturday in a devastating fire in Indian-controlled Kashmir, officials said.
