Three suspects arrested in SW China for drug trafficking

Xinhua, April 14, 2017 Adjust font size:

Police in southwest China's Yunnan Province have arrested three suspects and seized 44.2 kg of methamphetamine.

The arrests and seizure were made in a rental home in the provincial capital Kunming Wednesday, according to the public security bureau of Weishan County in Bai Autonomous Prefecture of Dali Friday.

The bureau launched an investigation after they received reports in January that a group of men that frequently traveled between Xishuangbanna, Lincang, and Dali were suspected of drug trafficking.

Police detected the suspects in Kunming Monday and seized them and the drugs at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday as they returned to the rental room.

The investigation is ongoing. Endi
