Libya's eastern parliament to set up political dialogue committee

Xinhua, April 13, 2017 Adjust font size:

Libya's eastern parliament held a session on Tuesday to authorize creation of a political dialogue committee by the speaker, Agila Saleh, Libyan news agency (LANA) reported Wednesday.

The session also discussed reforming the dialogue committee and restrictions including a time-limit of four months for the committee.

Libya suffers a political division with three rival governments and two parliaments battling for dominance.

The eastern-based parliament suspended participation in the political dialogue following a recent attack by a rival militia on major oil ports.
