Dutch league leaders Feyenoord drew 2-2 at PEC Zwolle on Sunday, with main rivals Ajax closing in to only one point with four match rounds remaining in the Dutch first division soccer league.

Queensy Menig, on loan from Ajax, gave PEC Zwolle an early lead and Bram van Polen doubled the scoring for the home team in the 13th minute. Feyenoord bounced back through Steven Berghuis in the 26th minute and in the second half Berghuis equalized the score. Feyenoord had several chances to get the winner, but the visitors from Rotterdam failed to complete their comeback.

On Saturday Ajax defeated NEC 5-1 in Nijmegen six days after the 2-1 win over Feyenoord and three days after the 4-1 win over AZ.

Bertrand Traore had a brace, Hakim Ziyech and David Neres each scored one and NEC defender Wojciech Golla produced an own goal. With a long distance shot NEC substitute Ferdi Kadioglu was responsible for the only home goal.

PSV defeated Willem II 5-0 on Sunday thanks to goals by Nicolas Isimat-Mirin, Marco van Ginkel who had a double, Gaston Pereiro and Andres Guardado. The visitors from Tilburg were denied the opening goal, when a shot by Thom Haye went in after it hit the cross-bar. Referee Pol van Boekel didn't notice that the ball had crossed the line.

Also on Sunday AZ drew 1-1 against Roda JC, while FC Utrecht beat FC Twente 3-0 to strengthen their fourth place.

Feyenoord still lead the table with 73 points, one more than Ajax, and the team from Rotterdam also has a far better goal difference than the number two from Amsterdam. PSV follow with 68 points, followed by FC Utrecht (53) and Vitesse (48). On April 23 PSV host Ajax in the 32nd match round of the Eredivisie. Endit
