Chinese premier sends condolences to Swedish PM over Stockholm truck attack

Xinhua, April 8, 2017 Adjust font size:

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Saturday sent a message of condolences to Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven over Friday's deadly truck attack in Stockholm.

Li strongly condemned the violent attack, extended deep condolences to the innocent victims and expressed sincere sympathy for the injured as well as families of the killed.

Li said China is willing to join Sweden in tackling the security threats and challenges facing the international community.

On Friday, a hijacked cargo truck ploughed into pedestrians on a busy shopping street in central Stockholm before crashing into a department store, killing at least four people and injuring many others. Lofven has said this was a terror attack. Endi
