Chinese president appoints new ambassadors

President Xi Jinping has appointed two new ambassadors, upon approval from the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, according to a statement by the national legislature.

Zhang Xiangchen was appointed China's representative and ambassador to the World Trade Organization, as well as deputy representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland, replacing Yu Jianhua.

Jin Hongjun was appointed ambassador to Guinea-Bissau, replacing Wang Hua. Endit
