Update: American tourist stabbed to death in Paris suburb

An American tourist was stabbed to death by a homeless man in Paris eastern suburb on Thursday, according to local reports.

A 52-year-old American woman was killed in Montreuil after a homeless stabbed her in her back while she was taking photos of graffiti on walls in the area, local broadcaster Europe1 reported.

The attacker was identified as 54-year-old homeless. He was arrested near the the site of incident, it added.

Citing a police source, the local radio said the man probably "arrived in France recently" and "lived in a nearby vacant lot".

Causes of the killing remained unknown. Endit
