Xinhua, April 5, 2017 Adjust font size:

A ping pong bomb, hidden in a trash can in Thai capital Bangkok, exploded around 20:00 local time on Wednesday, leaving two sanitation workers injured slightly, Thai media reported.

The two female workers have already been sent to hospital, said police, according to Thai media Thairath.

Police also said they are waiting for an explosive ordnance disposal unit to investigate the situation.

The explosion happened in front of a building which used to be the Government Lottery Office on Ratchadamnoen Klang Road or near Bangkok's Sanam Luang, a famous public square. Endit
