Iran to host Asian archery competitions

Iran will host the first edition of the Asian Paralympic Archery Tournament later this year, Press TV reported on Wednesday.

President of Para Archery Association at the Islamic Republic of Iran National Paralympic Committee (IRINPC), Majid Kahtari, said that the World Archery Federation (WA) has agreed to the performance of competition following protracted negotiations between Iranian sports officials and WA authorities.

Kahtari added that the first edition of the Asian Paralympic Archery Tournament is scheduled to kick off in the Iranian capital city of Tehran on November 6, and will conclude on November 11, 2017.

He said that Iran will do its utmost to host the contest in the best possible form, hoping the competition will be added to the world para archery calendar. Endit
