Deaths of a fireworks factory explosion in northern Portugal rose to six while two remain missing, Portuguese Lusa News Agency reported on Wednesday.

The explosion took place in Avoes, Lamego, some 350 km north of capital Lisbon at around 6 p.m. local time on Tuesday. Four bodies were found shortly after the accident. The search for the missing is underway.

Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and Prime Minister Antonio Costa have expressed their condolences to the families of the victims of the explosion. Enditem
