Xinhua, April 5, 2017 Adjust font size:

Japan's top government spokesperson Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga Wednesday said the firing of the missile of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) is in clear violation of U.N. Security Council resolutions and strongly protested the act.

The DPRK launched a ballistic missile on Wednesday that is believed to have fallen in the Sea of Japan.

He said the missile was launched at 6:42 a.m. local time from the DPRK's east coast, adding that it is believed to have not fallen within Japan's exclusive economic zone.

He added that planes and ships in the area have not reported receiving any damage as a result of the missile falling into the sea. Enditem
