Dollar changes hands in upper 110 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 110 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Wednesday, largely in line with levels seen overnight in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 110.85-86 yen compared with 110.70-80 yen in New York and 110.47-48 yen at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.0678-0678 dollars and 118.37-38 yen against 1.0668-0678 dollars and 118.15-25 yen in New York and 1.0650-0651 dollars and 117.65-69 yen in late Tuesday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Endit
