German benchmark DAX index gains 25.14 points Tuesday

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Tuesday gained by 25.14 points or 0.21 percent, closed at 12282.34 points.

Consumer goods company Henkel gained the most among the blue chips, whose share went up by 1.37 percent, follow by chemical firm Linde and German airlines by winning 1.30 percent and 1.05 percent respectively.

E.ON, Commerzbank and Volkswagen were the top three losers on Tuesday, whose shares dropped 1.27 percent, 1.20 percent and 1.11 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank was the most traded share with a turnover of 742.31 million euros (790.63 million U.S. dollars). Endit
