British stocks rise 0.54 percent Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 0.54 percent, or 39.13 points, to 7,321.82 points.

Share price of Fresnillo increased by 2.77 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Shire, Rio Tinto, Anglo American and 3i Group increased by 2.46 percent, 2.45 percent, 2.44 percent and 2.24 percent respectively.

Wm Morrison Supermarkets led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.86 percent, following by Mediclinic International (2.74 percent), Associated British Foods(2.38 percent), J Sainsbury (2.20 percent) and Barclays(1.67 percent). Endit
