Chinese premier sends condolences to Russian PM over metro blast

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Tuesday sent a message of condolences to Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev over the explosion in the subway system in St. Petersburg.

On behalf of the Chinese government and the Chinese people, and in his own name, Li extended his deep condolences to the victims and sincere sympathies to the families of the victims.

China strongly condemns the terrorist attack, Li said, adding China firmly opposes terrorism in all forms and is willing to work with Russia to deepen cooperation on counter-terrorism to jointly safeguard security and peace of both countries and the world.

At least 11 people were killed, dozens of others injured in the metro attack Monday afternoon in St. Petersburg, the second largest city of Russia. Endi
