Paris CAC40 index down 0.71 pct on Monday

The French stock market index CAC 40 lost 0.71 percent and closed at 5,085.91 points on Monday, down 36.60 points.

Seven of the 40 selected companies experienced increase.

The top three gainers were Safran, up 0.94 percent, Bouygues, up 0.64 percent, and Solvay, up 0.26 percent.

The three companies whose stock prices dropped the most were Societe Generale, down 2.60 percent, BNP Paribas, down 1.94 percent, and Valeo, down 1.83 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained 0.65 percent and closed at 5,122.51 points on Friday. Endit
