German benchmark DAX index gains 56.44 points Friday

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Friday gained by 56.44 points or 0.46 percent, closed at 12312.87 points.

Energy groups RWE and E.ON gained the most among the blue chips, whose shares went up by 2.98 percent and 2.04 percent respectively, followed by mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 by winning 1.29 percent.

Commerzbank, Continental and HeidelbergCement were the top three losers, whose shares lost 0.69 percent,0.39 percent and 0.25 percent respectively.

German Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens was the most traded share with a turnover of 315.24 million euros (337.02 million U.S. dollars). Endit
