Iran earns fourth place in women U-19 soccer tournament

Iran finished in fourth place in the women's U-19 soccer tournament "Kuban Spring-2017," Press TV reported on Monday.

Iran lost to hosts Russia in the semis and came fourth in the tournament's third-place match after suffering a 3-1 defeat to Slovenia on Sunday.

The Iranian squad earned three successive wins in the Group A competitions.

Russia won the title after defeating Belarus 4-3 in a penalty shootout in the final match on Sunday. Endit
