Suarez named in Uruguay squad for World Cup qualifiers

Uncapped winger Jonathan Urretaviscaya has been called up by Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez for this month's World Cup qualifiers against Brazil and Peru.

Urretaviscaya's inclusion comes amid an impressive run of form for Mexico's Pachuca, where he has scored 13 goals in 55 matches since his 2015 move from Penarol.

As expected, coach Oscar Tabarez included Barcelona forward Luis Suarez and Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani in his 25-man squad.

The Celeste are currently second in the South American zone World Cup qualifying standings, four points behind leaders Brazil.

They will host Brazil in Montevideo on March 23 before an away clash against Peru five days later.

Goalkeepers: Fernando Muslera (Galatasaray), Martin Silva (Vasco da Gama) Martin Campana (Independiente).
