Xinhua, March 4, 2017 Adjust font size:

As part of its 60th anniversary celebrations, Ghana's central bank unveiled here on Friday a commemorative Five Ghana cedi (around 1 U.S. dollar) note.

Governor of the Bank of Ghana Abdul Nashiru Issahaku said the commemorative note was legal tender and would be in circulation alongside the existing five cedi note.

It chose the portrait of a great Ghanaian intellectual, statesman and pioneering educationist, James Kwegyir Aggrey, as the image on the commemorative note. Endit
