1st LD Writethru: 1 killed, 3 injured as second suicide attack hits Afghan capital Kabul

A suicide bombing rocked Arzan Qimat locality in the 12th district in the eastern edge of Kabul city on Wednesday, killing the attacker and injuring three others, local media reported.

A militant strapped explosive device in his body and detonated himself next to a building of National Directorate for Security (NDS), or the country's intelligence agency at around 01:00 p.m. local time (0830 GMT), killing himself and injuring three others.

This is the second suicide attack in Afghan capital in a single day on Wednesday. The previous suicide bombing which occurred in 6th Police District at western edge of the city at 12:35 p.m. local time (0805 GMT) have inflicted casualties, according to eye witnesses.

Officials, however, are yet to make comment on the nature of the attacks and possible casualties.

Taliban militants have reportedly claimed responsibility for the twin attacks. Endit
