Spanish stock market rises 0.96 pct, closes at 9,555 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 0.96 percent on Tuesday to close at 9,555.50 points, up from the 9,464.30 points of Monday.

Ferrovial shares led rises climbing 4.31 percent, followed by Tecnicas Reunidas, DIA, Banco Popular, IAG and Caixabank that rose 3.38 percent, 3.17 percent, 3.08 percent, 2.03 percent and 1.98 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Merlin shares led falls losing 1.61 percent, followed by ArcelorMittal, Gamesa, Grifols, R.E.C. and Abertis A that lost 1.21 percent, 0.78 percent, 0.70 percent, 0.61 percent and 0.50 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 145 points falling from the 154 points of Monday and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.64 percent, also falling from the 1.74 percent of Monday. Endit
