Singapore stocks close 0.27 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 8.41 points, or 0.27 percent, to close at 3,108.62.

A total of 2.26 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.15 billion Singapore dollars (818.5 million U.S. dollars). Decliners outnumbered gainers 267 to 214.

The STI index down 20.54 points, or 0.65 percent, to close at 3,117.03 on Feb. 24. Enditem
