Kazakhstan wins men's ice hockey in Asiad

Kazakhstan claimed the gold medal of the men's ice hockey, beating the host Japan 7-0 at the Sapporo Asian Winter Games here on Sunday.

Kazakhstan got an early lead by scoring three in the opening five minutes. The host tried hard on the defensive side but the Kazakh attackers were strong enough to close the match 7-0.

Kazakhstan won all three games in the men's top division for the top honors. South Korea took home the silver, and Japan pocketed the bronze. Endit
