Hisense debuts dual-screen smartphone

Chinese tech firm Hisense Group on Thursday launched its dual-display smartphone Hisense A2.

The Android smartphone has a 5.5-inch AMOLED panel as its primary display, and a 5.2-inch E-ink screen on the rear side.

The E-ink screen features sunlight visibility and low power consumption. It can display a static image without using any power.

The handset, which costs 2,999 yuan (435 U.S. dollars), has fingerprint sensors on both sides.

Hisense is based in Qingdao City, in the eastern province of Shandong, it is best known for its televisions. It has launched a series of smartphones including the King Kong model, released in 2015, which is a tough and durable handset with a shatter proof screen and thick rubber strips adorning the top and bottom. Endi
