Xinhua, February 24, 2017 Adjust font size:

A car ploughed into pedestrians in the Sydney suburb of Chatswood on Friday, with an elderly woman in critical condition and a child in serious condition in hospital.

Two children and an adult were hit by the car, with one of the children only suffering minor injuries and being taken to a doctor.

The other child has been taken to Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital with serious injuries, while the elderly woman was unconscious at the scene and has also been taken to hospital with massive head injuries.

The male driver had been trapped in his car following the accident but has now been freed.

Police say the driver may have suffered a medical episode. Enditem
