Paris CAC 40 index gains 0.15 percent Wednesday

The Paris CAC40 gained 0.15 percent on Wednesday to 4,896 points, registering a second consecutive growth this week.

After three consecutive downturns, the Paris CAC40 index rebounded 0.49 percent on Tuesday, to 4,889 points, driven by the new Wall Street records and the good holding of oil prices.

Consumer prices in January in the euro zone increased by 1.8 percent year-on-year. According to Eurostat's final estimate, annual core inflation stands at 0.9 percent, in line with expectations.

The three gainers of the day were M6 up 5,4 percent, Scor up 3.2 percent, and Danone up 2.3 percent after two consecutive sessions of slight decline.

On the other hand, the three companies registered the biggest loss were Vallourec with a decline of 2.8 percent, AccorHotels down 2.4 percent and Legrand down 1.4 percent. Endit
