Malaysia's foreign reserves stands at 95 bln USD

Malaysia's central bank, Bank Negara, said Wednesday that its international reserves amounted to 426.2 billion ringgit (95 billion U.S. dollars) as of Feb. 15.

The international reserves were consisted of 88 billion dollars in foreign currency reserves, 0.8 billion dollars in International Monetary Fund (IMF) reserves position, 1.1 billion dollars in Special Drawing Rights (SDRs), 1.4 billion dollars in gold and 3.7 billion dollars in other reserves assets.

Its reserves position is sufficient to finance 8.4 months of retained imports and is 1.1 times the short-term external debt. Endit
