Iran to sell 100,000 bpd of oil to Russia: minister

Xinhua, February 22, 2017 Adjust font size:

Iran will sign a deal with Russia to sell 100,000 barrels per day of oil to its northern neighbor, Press TV reported quoting Iranian minister of petroleum as saying on Tuesday.

The deal, to be signed in the following weeks, would provide Iran with an opportunity to find new customers, minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said, briefing his meeting with visiting Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak.

"During the meeting, we agreed to hold a workshop in Moscow over the next few weeks on the new model of Iranian oil contracts," he said.

Russia has expressed willingness to cooperate with Iran for long-term regulation of the country's oil market. Endit
