Singapore stocks close 0.08 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 2.5 points, or 0.08 percent, to close at 3,094.19.

A total of 2.90 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.21 billion Singapore dollars (854.2 million U.S. dollars). Decliners outnumbered gainers 281 to 202.

The STI index lost 10.96 points, or 0.35 percent, to close at 3,096.69 on Monday. Endit
