China has more than 13,000 notaries

Xinhua, February 20, 2017 Adjust font size:

The number of licensed notaries in China had surpassed 13,000, the China Notary Association said Monday.

They were employed by more than 3,000 notary services across the country, the association said, adding that these services notarized about 50 million documents during the past four years.

The notary offices had played an active role in promoting economic development and social management, supporting public interest litigation and bankruptcy and restructuring, the association said.

They also extended their services to the financing sector and helped safeguard financial order in the country, it said.

According to the association, documents of notarization issued by Chinese notary services had been sent to more than 180 countries and regions for use, the association added. Endi
