"xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" tops Chinese box office

"xXx: The Return of Xander Cage," a Hollywood action movie featuring Vin Diesel, topped the Chinese box office in the week ending Feb. 12, earning 427 million yuan (62 million U.S. dollars), China Film News reported Tuesday.

"Kung-Fu Yoga," a domestic comedy featuring Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan, landed in second place for the week, taking 337 million yuan. It has grossed 1.6 billion yuan since its release on Jan. 28.

"Duckweed," a domestic adventure film directed by writer Han Han, placed third, with sales revenue of 253 million yuan.

Domestic fantasy movie "Journey to the West: The Demons Strike Back," sat at fourth place, generating 186 million yuan.

Rounding out the top five was domestic animation "Boonie Bears: Entangled Worlds," which grossed 95 million yuan. Endi
