--Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome, during his five-day official visit to Turkey this week, discussed with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on further expanding Turkish investment in Ethiopia and infrastructure development as well as cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

--Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome has appointed new ambassadors of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

The newly appointed ambassadors will be representing Ethiopia in over eight countries, including Cote d'Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana, Ireland, Italy, Israel, Kuwait and Uganda. (Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation/EBC)

--The government of Ethiopian will scale up the efforts it has launched by its own capacity to cope with the drought that hit some lowland pastoralist areas, said Government Communication Affairs Office (GCAO).

--Ethiopia has attracted foreign direct investments (FDI) worth 1.2 billion U.S. dollars in the first half budget year, the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) said.
