Singapore stocks close 0.48 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 14.73 points, or 0.48 percent, to close at 3,071.64.

A total of 3.67 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.31 billion Singapore dollars (920.7 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 252 to 207, while 619 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 14.97 points, or 0.49 percent, to close at 3,056.91 on Monday. Endit
